CLIENT: Zeebelt Theater
LOCATION: The Hague, Netherlands YEAR: 2010 The Arts Views on the Westtsk Design was invited by Zeebelt Theater to participate in an exhibition of posters interpreting Views on the West from an Indian perspective. The designs are based on information derived from audio interviews with Indian call centre employees. Our interpretation, a pixilated face, is composed of colored squares, each color representing a notion about the West based on statistics gathered from the original interviews. The result: Nomen Nescio, an anonymous non-specific person. The poster proposes that the views are based on stereotypes and preconceived ideas – hence the collective outcome is ambiguous.
