BRIEF
MSP’s initiatives span research funding, institutional partnerships, cultural engagement and social impact projects that work towards healthier, more sustainable communities. Despite its scale, its brand lacked a unified narrative to express both its intellectual rigour and catalytic role. At a moment of growth, MSP required a strategic framework to consolidate its diverse work, and reposition itself beyond conventional philanthropy — as an enabler of transformative outcomes.
STRATEGY
We defined MSP’s core purpose — to accelerate great minds and bold ideas for transformative outcomes — anchored in the statement ‘Impact Research. Advance Humanity’.
This was supported by key differentiators: a belief that research is the path to lasting impact, entrepreneurial philanthropy, a full-circle approach balancing global ambition with local context, and a deep commitment to Indian ecosystems.
Four value drivers — ‘Push Possibility’, ‘Enable Connections’, ‘Be Rigorous’, and ‘Deliver Impact’ — establish MSP as catalytic and committed. This framework informs the identity system.
DESIGN
At the heart of the identity lies the concept of ‘The Multiplier’ — a symbol, composed of concentric, upward and downward-facing semi-circles. The downward arcs signify depth, rigour, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge, while the upward arcs express expansion, optimism, and global ambition. Their concentric construction reinforces MSP as a catalyst— where each intervention generates ripple effects of impact across systems and scales.
Set in Joanna Sans Nova, the wordmark has a humanist quality — balancing the bold precision of the symbol with warmth.
A striking colour palette complements the identity. Teal — combines the vitality of green with the gravitas of dark blue — encapsulating MSP’s promise of advancing humanity through research. It is supported by a neutral grey, and a fresh blue that introduce balance and lightness, while subtly referencing MSP’s lineage to Biocon.
IMPACT
The MSP identity unifies diverse initiatives under a singular, compelling brand narrative. By positioning MSP as a ‘multiplier’, it reframes philanthropy as an active, entrepreneurial force, while positioning MSP as a frontrunner in supporting research as a critical driver of human advancement.
